My WoodenBoat

This is my 1958 13ft Penn Yan Dynamold Swift, Model CPT. This boat is very rare, less than one hundred were made. There are only two known to exist, and I have one! The boat was given to me by Joe Pearce in March of 1998. I met a man on the internet named Charlie Santi. He has really helped to tell me how to restore her the right way, along with some people on the WoodenBoat forum, thanks guys! I am in the process of restoring her now. All I need to do is fix the steering wheel, add about 5 coats more varnish to the decks, wire it, and get the motor on it. Her name is "Turtle" because it has been at Turtle Pond for over 35 years. Joe Pearce, who owns the pond, used to sneak out in my boat with his brother, when they were little. My mom and a couple people around the pond can remember it being in the pond. My boat was sold for $299 in 58', now she is worth about $5,000. There are only about one or two wooden boats in Roxboro, its good to have a rare rarity!
